Christmas Memory Book
I have finally started my memory book, which is for a present to my DH's aunt for christmas. I have only done four pages so far, the papers are all from PM Nostalgia Blue kit which come with a matching scrapbook aswell. I thought I would try and stick with these papers if possible. I have used the following:-
'Children are poor man's riches' this was originally in a christmas card sent out to family, so have used the original folder as a background and highlighted it with some ink, a cricut scroll and faux button and faux frame.
'Parents' - here I have added some contrasting cricut letters with a chipboard accent and some stamping.
'Cheers' - I have matted the photo onto contrasting paper added some ribbon and some faux stitching, and have embossed the chipboard letters with contrasting ink
The last page, I have used some chipboard flowers, inked and embossed, added some ribbon and used a contrasting paper for the background, this one is still without a title and was taken from a sketch which I saw in a current mag! Hope you like my efforts!! I would welcome your comments as I make cards more often than I scrapbook!!

are, but aren't cards just small scrapbook pages to the gifted crafter like yourself? Your DH's aunt is going to LOVE this.
ReplyDeleteI love doing vintage ...I find blue is one of the colours that works well. The only advice I would give is add names and dates if you can.If you dont want them to detract from the photo, then do a little hidden journalling.I love the fact that you used the original folder with message. This album will be a treasured keepsake for the Auntie. Hope you continue to enjoy doing it
