Christmas Memory Book

I have finally started my memory book, which is for a present to my DH's aunt for christmas. I have only done four pages so far, the papers are all from PM Nostalgia Blue kit which come with a matching scrapbook aswell. I thought I would try and stick with these papers if possible. I have used the following:-
'Children are poor man's riches' this was originally in a christmas card sent out to family, so have used the original folder as a background and highlighted it with some ink, a cricut scroll and faux button and faux frame.
'Parents' - here I have added some contrasting cricut letters with a chipboard accent and some stamping.
'Cheers' - I have matted the photo onto contrasting paper added some ribbon and some faux stitching, and have embossed the chipboard letters with contrasting ink
The last page, I have used some chipboard flowers, inked and embossed, added some ribbon and used a contrasting paper for the background, this one is still without a title and was taken from a sketch which I saw in a current mag! Hope you like my efforts!! I would welcome your comments as I make cards more often than I scrapbook!!

Wedding Invitations

I have been a bit distant in blogging of late, and haven't really had the chance to do any challenges either! Here is the reason. I have been making some wedding invites for the daughter of a friend at work. She wanted something very simple, with a bow on. Having given her initial embellishment examples, we decided upon this design. I have cut the silver mirror card and the weave finish white card on the cricut machine. The bow is stamped and embossed in silver ink, and then mounted onto the mirror card using foam squares - I had a really hard time finding this stamp too! The only thing I have left to do now is the inserts for inside. I am awaiting the bride to make a decision as to the wording, as the wedding is to be hosted by the bride and groom, I would welcome your comments. I got the invitations, hammered effect white card with silver embossed script from the wedding crafter, who were excellent!

I have also added a touch of bling with some green stickles for the fish and added a peel off to the front and a stamped sentiment to the inside! Haven't done this for a challenge, just for fun! Looking forward to getting back to following challenges soon as I enjoy the inspiration! Until then, thanks for looking!
